A manager needs to recognize the difference between coaching and counseling in order to change the approach and enable the staff member to sort out their problems Most of the manager’s play their role as a counselor with their staff according to the situation. 

Counseling is the best way to achieve the set goals/targets of any organization, through coordination, cooperation with their colleagues.

At the foundation of success, the counseling process is what is believed by many to be an accurate understanding of how and why human being believes. Once we understand why people do what they do, we can begin to develop tools to help the staff and others.

The procedure we use in success counseling help compares took at their wants and needs. Evaluate their behavior and its effectiveness and develop an option to better meet their needs.

Counseling is not simply being sympathetic towards another’s feelings.

In staff training the goals to learn to see both our own problems and those of our compares in light of this information as we do, we can focus on developing ways of working with people in both counseling and discipline situations that will help them more effectively meet their needs.

TYPES OF COUNSELLING?
This type of counseling is the most directive. It results from a mistake or a missed opportunity. In addition to pointing out errors, such counseling should also indicate how the person could both learn from the error and learn how to detect such errors. 

Such disciplinary action is not necessarily punitive in nature. It is, however, enforcement of work rules or performance standards. This type of counseling is aimed at specific performance improvement. The emphasis is on listening and understanding, but the counselor shares in the task of deciding on a course of action and a plan to achieve it. 

It is aimed at achieving a specific objective or developing specific skills and abilities. It is often associated with annual performance reviews and periodic performance improvement discussions. This type of counseling is distinguished from the other tow primarily by the focus of the problem. In correcting and coaching, the counselor notices a deficiency or sees a need for improvement. It counseling, the focus of the problem is with the employee.

It is the employee who feels a need or has an incentive for changing things. Sometimes employees initiate discussions that fall in this category hoping the supervisor will assume responsibility for the problems.
