Promote participatory and youth-centered development by engaging Stakeholders, Organizations, civil society organizations, youth groups and all stakeholders in an ongoing process of dialogue and partnerships through the Leadership/ institutional development component.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Tech Manager in conceptualizing, developing and implementing youth leadership and institutional development activities at regional, district, union, village and community levels.

Assist the Tech Manager to coordinate, communicate and assess the need for establishing institutional networking, linkages, and partnerships between Stakeholders, civil society organizations, youth organizations, local government programs, and ABC agencies and other projects and programs at field levels in the region.

Contribute to the thinking and discussions on mainstreaming youth in the development process by engaging with community institutions, local government, elected bodies, media and civil society groups through systematic dialogue process and advocating and lobbying for inclusive development.

Facilitate the pool of resource persons, consultants, mediators, facilitators and staff from regional and core offices, donor reps, guests, etc, during the course of implementing program activities at the field and regional levels.

Under guidance from Tech Manager, take lead in facilitating the formation, strengthening and capacity building of Stakeholders, Community  organizations, youth organizations, stakeholders networks and developing phasing-out strategies and outsourcing of appropriate activities to them.

Provide support to Stakeholders in the revival of Organizations through the inclusion of young females and young male in these village organizations through undertaking a smooth transitional planning and gradual succession of leadership to youth.

Undertake training and resource need analysis, and stakeholder analysis with Stakeholders and youth organizations and develop training and capacity building activities for each stakeholder group.

Provide training to Stakeholders, youth organizations and stakeholders on youth and institutional development priority themes to be identified by the section.

Work closely with the youth development officer, and staff of other sections in a team spirit to deliver quality outputs and communicate with stakeholders through a common strategy.

Assist in collecting and developing a database/directory of youth organizations, Stakeholders, civil society organizations and project and programs working for youth development in the region.

Act as a change agent and advocate on youth development, gender, and youth inclusion and mainstreaming in all development planning and processes, and incorporation of best practices in the region and in ABC.

Ensure timely and quality compliance with reporting deadlines, documentation, monthly and quarterly review meeting minutes and undertaking case studies and  visit reports with gender and demographic (age break-down) break-down of data and information as per section requirements.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATION
Education: Master’s in Social/Management Sciences

Related Work Experience & Training:
Five and above years practical and field experience

Excellent interpersonal skills
Good communication Skills

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, maximum 35 years
Physical Fitness / Other factors
Able to travel and stay in remote field areas.
All things bearing equal preference shall be given to female and younger candidates
