  • Demonstrate economic analyses of key sectors of the economy, in a qualitative and quantitative manner, and develop a 'deep' understanding of their functioning.
  • Identify the potential for pro-poor growth, constraints to growth and innovative solutions and opportunities to unlock this growth potential, making enterprises more competitive and creating job and income-earning opportunities for the poor and underprivileged.
  • Develop strategies for sub-sectors growth particularly related to agriculture, gems, and tourism.
  • Review the technical and economic feasibility of business plans from potential partners and/or in close interaction with business partners, develop such plans.
  • Communicate with, negotiate with and develop partnerships with a large variety of strategic private and public players in these (potential) growth sectors to introduce innovation and unlock the pro-poor growth potential.
  • Understanding the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach to development and design and manage interventions inline with its principles.
  • Design specific interventions to ensure gender equality and actively search for opportunities for women to participate in economic growth.
  • Special strategies are devised to give fair opportunity to special persons with special challenges to participate in economic growth
  • Promote environmentally and socially responsible business practices and avoid promoting business practices that are not sustainable from an environmental or social point of view.
  • Linking of entrepreneurship trainees with financial institutions to address financial gaps to start enterprises
  • Value chain finance arrangements among value chain actors to bridging the financial gaps and investments
  • Linking value chain actors with end market players to confirm and ensure sustainable demand
  • Financial analysis and investment advice for community organizations and private sector
  • Developing strategies to enhance employability and address unemployment through skill development programs
  • Annual work planning, financial budgeting and preparing executing strategies
  • Performance monitoring of activities
  • Preparing and writing progress reports on quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
  • Producing success stories
  • Writing concept notes and project proposals
  • Staff management and performance appraisals
  • Involve in the recruitment process

Minimum of 7 years
(Knowledge of entrepreneurship, value chain development vocational skill development)

Interpersonal & communication skills
Excellent PR with market players
Strong writing & analytical skills
Basic Computer skills

Age Limit:  Minimum 25 years
Physical Fitness / Other Factors
Able to travel and stay in remote field areas
